The team at Massey Hyundai is proud to announce that our dealership will be a sponsor of the 2nd Annual Dash 4 Disabilities 5K cross-country run/walk.
Aiming to raise money for individuals with special needs and developmental disorders, the event will be held on Saturday, September 26 at Star Community's stunning 145-acre campus in Hagerstown, MD. We've always been committed to giving back to our community, so we're thrilled to be a sponsor of the Dash 4 Disabilities initiative.
The Dash 4 Disabilities Event
The event will be held at Star Community's campus, less than a ten-minute drive from the Massey Hyundai showroom. Participants will be able to choose to enter either a 5K cross-country run or a one-mile walk. The 5k cross-country run will begin at 10:00 a.m., and the walk will begin at 10:30. Awards and medals will be given to top qualifiers in each division of the run (men, women, and youth), as well as in separate age groups.

The Star Community
Since 1970, the Star Community Center has offered residential, day program, and equestrian opportunities to individuals suffering from Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, Angelman syndrome, seizure disorders, spina bifida, anxiety/aggression disorders, and other development disabilities.
The Star Community Center provides a place of warmth and closeness in which those with such disabilities can find comfort. Once a home for just four young children, Star Community now includes 10 separate residences, a day program, and an equestrian program, with facilities including two greenhouses, an indoor swimming pool, a nature trail, and a handicapped-accessible fishing pond. The money and awareness raised by events such as Dash 4 Disabilities remains invaluable for them in their quest to provide disabled people with the opportunities they deserve.
