Massey Hyundai has had the pleasure of being operated by three generations of the Massey family. On March 29, 2016, second-generation Owner and Dealer Principal Jerry Massey will turn 73, and our team decided it was worth celebrating.
On Friday, March 25, 2016, we are asking all Hagerstown and Winchester residents to come to our dealership and celebrate Jerry Massey’s birthday. We’ll be serving cake and refreshments throughout our regular business hours—7AM-9PM—so be sure to stop by for some treats and to wish a very important man a happy birthday.
About Jerry Massey
During his tenure as owner, Jerry Massey truly transformed Massey Hyundai. Unlike other dealer principals in the area, Jerry wasn’t afraid of change. Instead of relying on the traditional marketing that other dealerships used, he embraced alternative promotional channels and technologies. This not only paved the way for other dealerships in the area, but it also helped propel Massey Hyundai into the well-known and well-respected dealership it is today.
Along with changing technology, Jerry also changed the way the dealership operated. He believed in complete transparency to customers, so he created a culture where associates were completely honest and where customers knew they could access the right information when they needed it. Jerry also worked hard to ensure that all his associates were happy while at work.

Jerry is still actively involved in Massey Hyundai. He is also an active member of the community and regularly participates in community events and business seminars.
